Kai was born on November 30, 2012. This year, 2025, he would have turned 13. He was so looking forward to becoming a teenager. While that was not in the cards for him, he accomplished so much in his short time on this earth, not the least of which is touching so many lives – from his closest relatives and friends to his doctors, nurses, and teachers to strangers in the elevator.
Though he is no longer here with us physically, Kai will forever be with us, and so, we will continue to celebrate his birthday. Since his passing this year, every year on November 30th, we will honor Kai and his amazing spirit. #ForeverKai Day will be a day of reflection on the happy moments of his life and the joy he brought us. It will be a day of gratitude for the powerful life lessons he taught us, like how to live in the moment and find joy in the smallest of things. It will be a day of smiling, laughing, music, adventure, and enjoying life as he did and as he would want us to do…
May Kai’s light continue to shine bright in all of us who knew him, loved him, were touched by his genuine spirit…
